Catalina’s the girl mixing your mojito at that rooftop bar in Dubai Marina on Thursday nights. Colombian, with hands that know their way around a shaker better than most bartenders twice her age. She learned mixing drinks from her uncle back.
Dark hair she usually ties back for work. Speaks Spanish when she’s tired, English with a slight accent that gets thicker after midnight. Has strong opinions about rum and gets genuinely annoyed when people order Long Island iced teas.
Her apartment’s full of plants she talks to in Spanish and a growing collection of Arabic coffee sets she picks up from souks. Obsessed with old salsa music, terrible at cooking anything that isn’t arepas. Laughs loudly enough that people turn around, doesn’t particularly care.
She’s upfront about working both jobs – says bartending taught her how to read people fast and handle awkward situations with grace. Available most weekdays and some weekend afternoons when she’s not behind the bar.
